Indian Ocean Tsunami Relief

There are no words to express our concern, grief and empathy for the people of Southeast Asia. The tragic events of the past couple days have broken our heartsand at the same time, our spirits have swelled with the desire to help in any way possible.

Along with continued thoughts and prayers, XanGo has made donations to two large relief organizations. The combined efforts of these organizations will offer both immediate medical attention and long-term humanitarian support. We are also working to establish lasting avenues through which our charitable efforts may continue to provide relief to the region.

We all know that XanGo has a deep and enduring connection to Thailand. Many of our distributors have visited this beautiful country and the surrounding areascertainly the images of extreme damage and destruction have been painful and startling.

Many distributors have contacted XanGo expressing an admirable desire to contribute to the relief effort. We recommend visiting the Mercy Corps website (www.mercycorps.org). There you will find information about relief efforts and direct links for donations. Nearly every dollar donated to Mercy Corps helps secure $16.51 in food and other suppliesyour generous contribution will be used to directly improve the lives of those affected by this disaster.

Again, we cannot accurately voice our concern and care. We hope and pray that the people of Southeast Asia will be lifted above their circumstances. And we hope that we can all find a way to help.

Thank you,

Joe Morton

Senator Hatch
Hope Alliance
Christmas 2003

Knowledge shared is knowledge gained. The same could be said for goodwill, charity and compassion. The more we share with those in need, the more we enrich the world we live in.

Though we remain intensely committed to the key factors that build our company and brand, we will always maintain a firm resolution to improve the global community. As our company grows, so will our ability to contribute.

Our charitable donations will always reflect our commitment and our success.

XanGo is a proud sponsor of Operation Kids, donating a portion of company profits to this worthy organization. Operation Kids is dedicated to promoting the education, safety, health, and welfare of children throughout the world, by supporting a diverse group of effective childrens charities.

Some of these charities include the Forever Young Foundation, NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Steve Youngs foundation offering development and education to thousands of underprivileged and seriously ill children; the Christmas Box House, which works in partnership with local communities to seek, develop, and implement comprehensive services for abused and neglected children who have been removed from their family environment; the National McGruff House Network, which is the only national safe house network devoted exclusively to children, and offers more than 20,000 McGruff Houses in 44 states.

Senator Hatch Lifetime Achievement Award

XanGo, LLC, proudly sponsored Operation Kids first-ever Lifetime Achievement Award Gala. Operation Kids is XanGos charity of choice and is an umbrella organization which helps support such worthy childrens charities as the Forever Young Foundation, the Christmas Box House and the McGruff House Network.

The evening opened with a speech by XanGo CEO Gary Hollister, who used the time to praise both U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) and Operation Kids for their tremendous positive impact. He also expressed his appreciation, on behalf of XanGo, for the chance to be a part of such a tremendous event.

Former U.S. Senator Jake Garn presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Senator Hatch, with taped tributes provided by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, talk show host Larry King, Senator Ted Kennedy, actor Henry Winkler and musical performer Gladys Knight. Entertainment was provided by Donny Osmond, Michael Bolton, Peter McCann and others. Earl Holding, the owner of the Grand America Hotel (where the event was held) remarked that this was not only the best awards event, but the best event of any kind that he had ever experienced.

The evening was capped off with the presentation of the Operation Kids Lifetime Achievement Award, followed by remarks from Senator Hatch. The Senator was clearly moved by the honor, and expressed gratitude to many. He was also effusive in his praise for XanGo Juice, which he noted is a remarkable product that is helping a great number of people. He pointed out that he drinks XanGo Juice and enjoys the benefits of this incredible beverage.

XanGo and Operation Kids could not be happier with the way the entire evening unfolded. Rick Larsen, president of Operation Kids, explained that fundraising from this one evening alone will top $1 million by the end of the yeara phenomenal amount for a local event. Larsen also noted that this event would simply not have been possible without the vision and support of XanGo, who stepped in as the first presenting sponsor. XanGo executives extended their thanks to employees, staff and a wonderful army of distributors who allow the company to be generous and giving to Operation Kids.

Hope Alliance

Thanks in part to a generous donation from XanGo, LLC, several hundred Peruvians are now experiencing a level of hope they could not imagine just a month ago. Dr. J. Fredric Templeman and David A. Morton, Ph.D., joined a recent medical expedition to the remote area of Iquitos, Per, where they saw patients, dispensed much needed supplies and taught local health practitioners valuable skills and techniques.

Their trip was part of a scheduled Hope Alliance excursion, which involved 35 medical students, doctors, surgeons, podiatrists, and nurses. All participants in the humanitarian effort volunteered their time and professional talents.

The Hope Alliance, created in December 1999, seeks to improve health in communities of need by setting up long-term, self-sustaining programs that will have dramatic, positive, lasting impact on the children and families in those communities. To date, Hope Alliance staff and volunteers have donated more than 20,000 hours of service in some of the worlds most needful places. In their first two years alone, the Hope Alliance shipped $8 million in medical supplies and humanitarian aid.

The recent trip to Per is typical of the relief and hope these volunteers bring. In the first two days in Iquitos, a small town outside the city of Los Delfines, Dr. Templeman himself treated 300 patients. During the entire trip, more than 1,000 people who were too poor to afford proper medical attention were cared for.

But despite the sheer numbers, it is the individual faces that the volunteers remember. We saw one little girl in Iquitos, says Carolyn Anderson, a XanGo customer service representative who traveled to Per and acted as an interpreter. She was desperately sick with malaria, but her family simply could not afford the cost of medical attention. We were able to find a place for her in the hospital and supply her with the medicine she needed to recover and regain her health. She deserves to have a happy, healthy childhood.

While the beneficiaries of this recent Hope Alliance trip will long remember the kindness and care of their benefactors, it is the lives of alldoctors and patientsthat have been forever changed.

Christmas 2003

XanGo has always been committed to making our world a better place to live. In this holiday season, we continue our tradition of giving.

We recently learned that XanGo is now the number one sponsor of Operation Kids, a remarkable umbrella organization supporting a variety of worthy childrens charities. As the lead sponsor, we are extremely gratified to know that our efforts are helping ease the lives of abused, neglected, and underprivileged children. We owe a great debt of gratitude to our tireless independent distributors for making this effort possible.

We are also proud to be involved with Alan Osmonds One Heart organization, a group devoted to strengthening families through a variety of methods and means. This charity believes that strong communities depend on strong families, a sentiment that XanGo fervently endorses.

XanGo is also involved on a local level. Our wonderful employees are leading the way by spearheading their own charitable projects. XanGo employee Melanee Raynes recently organized a welcome donation to the Utah County Womens Shelter. Melanee brought several unfinished quilts in to work and had other employees help her tie the quilts during break time. The quilts were then given to the shelter over the Christmas holiday. This sort of unselfish attitude and initiative-taking is common among our work force.

XanGo is helping the local community in other ways. The Utah Food Bank has experienced severe shortages this year. While these shortages are due to a variety of economic factors, that fact doesnt diminish the need of individuals who rely on charitable contributions to the Food Bank to make it through the winter. XanGo has responded to this need. We were the title sponsor of a recent reading of Richard Paul Evans classic The Christmas Box at Utah Valley State College. This fund-raising event added a considerable amount to the hunger organization. According to Utah Food Bank spokesman, every dollar donated translates to about 17 pounds of food, since the cash can fund such things as providing transportation of donated food items.

At this time of year, a season considered by all of us to be a time of rejoicing, we want to do everything we can to lighten the burdens of others. Thank you for joining in on and supporting the efforts of XanGo.
